Gezdikçe Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Gezdikçe mobile application (the "App"). The App is provided by Ali Çoban, İstanbul, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected].

By using the App you agree to these terms. Before writing a review you also accept them inside the App.

1. What the App offers

Gezdikçe shows historic, natural and cultural places in Türkiye and lets you mark the places you have visited on your map, plan trips and write reviews.

• Place information is compiled from open sources (Wikipedia, Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, Wikimedia Commons) and official websites (the Ministry of Culture and Tourism museum website, TÜRKPATENT). Opening hours and prices are shown with their source and last-updated date, but they can change. We recommend checking the official source before you go.
• Distances and times are straight-line estimates. Map apps opened for directions (Google Maps, Yandex, Apple Maps) are subject to their own terms.
• When visiting nature, mountains, caves or coastlines, your safety is your own responsibility; check weather, road and access conditions and follow local rules.

2. Account

• You can use the App without an account (as a guest). You can sign in with your Google account (or, on iPhone, your Apple account) to keep your map or to write reviews.
• You are responsible for the security of your account and for what is done with it.
• You can delete your account and data at any time in Settings → "Delete my account and data". If you cannot access the App: https://gezdikce.com/hesap-silme/.

3. Reviews and user content

Your reviews and ratings are visible to other users with your name shortened ("Ali Ç."). When writing reviews you agree to the following:

Prohibited content

• Insults, humiliation, harassment, threats or bullying.
• Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
• Sexual content, or language that glorifies or encourages violence.
• Any content that exploits children (zero tolerance; reported to the authorities).
• Encouraging illegal activities.
• Sharing other people's personal information (phone, address, identity details, etc.).
• Ads, spam, links, paid or fake reviews; misleading reviews of places you have not visited.
• Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

Moderation

• Any review can be reported with "Report review". A review reported by a certain number of different users is hidden automatically and reviewed.
• We may hide or remove reviews that violate these terms without prior notice. Accounts that repeatedly break the rules may be blocked from writing reviews or closed.
• The author is responsible for the content of a review.

Licence You keep the copyright and other rights in your review. You grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to display, store and format your review in the App. This licence ends when you delete the review or your account.

4. Premium subscription

• Premium offers ad-free use, unlimited trip plans and all share card themes. Monthly and yearly options are available; the price is shown in Google Play or the App Store before purchase.
• The subscription is sold through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone. Payment is charged to your Google Play account or Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price at the end of each period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel and manage it on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, and on iPhone in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. If you cancel, Premium lasts until the end of the paid period. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds follow Google Play's or Apple's refund policy. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
• If you downloaded the App from the App Store, Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.

5. Ads

The free version of the App shows ads (Google AdMob). Advertisers are responsible for the content of their ads. On iPhone, the advertising identifier is used only if you allow it in Apple's tracking permission prompt. How personal data is processed for ads is explained in the Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property and sources

• The App's name, logo, design and software belong to Ali Çoban and may not be copied, distributed or reverse engineered without permission.
• Openly licensed content (Wikipedia texts CC BY-SA, Wikimedia Commons photos, OpenStreetMap data ODbL) is subject to its own licence; author and licence are shown in the App.

7. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is". We work to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from a place being closed, a price having changed, or trips made relying on information in the App. You can report wrong information with "Something wrong? Report it" in the App.

8. Changes and termination

• We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced in the App. The current version is always on this page.
• You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly violate these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory consumer rights under the laws of the country where you live are not affected.
